  Also Davis & Davye. BIOGRAPHY: Of St Catherine, Co. Dublin and of Kill, Co. Kildare. Sir Paul was General and Principal Clerk of the Council, one of the Commissioners appointed in 1660 to settle the affairs of Ireland. A privy Councellor, Prime Secretary of State for Ireland, 1660, and Co. Kildare. He had huge land grants in Co. Donegal. Sat as MP for Enniskillen 1634, Donegal 1639 and Kildare 1661.
